Live In Care Services

Live-in Care – our one to one care

Managing Care is a flexible and specialised home help service designed for those who need some assistance to live well in your own homes. At home you will have the continuity and comfort of staying at home with familiar surroundings; we can be truly be Your care is arranged on your terms and is designed to meet existing preferences for your own familiar routines – for example; care routines, meals and eating times, hobbies, outings, rest time, companionship and medication. Our one-to-one care has the flexibility to evolve with you when you require changes.

Our Live-in Carers

Our carers are directly employed and trained by ourselves, and we can guarantee that you will never be left without care. This will allow you peace of mind not just today, but for the long term arrangements. We appreciate how important it is to find the right live-in care to make independent living a reality, which is why we invest so much thought and effort in our carer selection, training and placement. Both Directors at Managing Care are involved in assessing each carer who is offer employed with us, and further during our training programmes. Careful matching is then assessed of our live-in carer to match your lifestyle, personality and location ensure a good client/ personal assistant relationship.

The flexibility of live-in care

We support live in care for both elderly and younger people to enable them to live full and independent lives. For example – we support young people with physical disabilities at universities in London through to progressive conditions such as Dementia or Multiple sclerosis. Our carers are highly experienced about different forms of disabilities and undertake training to ensure they are to date to with certain aspects – such as manual handling

Respite Care – Getting a break from caring

There are many different ways for carers to get a break from caring, whether it’s for a week, one morning a week or just occasionally. Managing Care offers shorter term respite care service which is designed to give you the opportunity to rest and to take some time for yourself. We really appreciate how demanding it is to be a family carer. We know that it’s hard to leave, but we will give you the confidence and assurance by following a detail care plans so avoid an unnecessary disruptions to your family member. We take exactly the same time and trouble in planning our short-term respite care service as we do with longer term assignments. This means we will sit down with you and plan every aspect of the care required thoroughly and meticulously, including: • Your loved one’s daily routine • Their food preferences • Their personal care needs • Their medication requirements • General house-keeping requirements

Rehabilitation Support

If you have been discharged from the hospital after an illness or injury but aren’t yet fully recovered, you may require rehabilitation support at home. Such care can help to bridge the gap between a stay in the hospital and your full recovery, helping you to make progress in a comfortable and reassuring environment. At Managing Care, our experts can help guide and support you to take and the right food to eat, to help you get well as quickly as possible. From your initial assessment through to your continuing care, we’ll make sure to properly factor in and work with your changing needs.

Palliative End-of-life Care

We offer both hourly and live-in care services for people who have been diagnosed with terminal conditions or are otherwise approaching the end of life. At this point, it becomes essential to have plans in place and an established support network.
Our live in care services ensure that your loved one can enjoy the comfort and familiarity of their own home until the very end.
Our carers focus on ensuring that clients enjoy every moment of their life, connect with their loved ones, realise their wishes, and realistically have a plan in place and their affairs in order. They blend professional help with daily practicalities with personal emotional support that is tailored to the client’s needs at this late hour.
We also offer respite care services to assist family carers and take over when they need to rest or are otherwise unavailable.
Our person-centered approach to care ensures that our services are moulded around your needs and this is reflected in a personalised care plan. Our services are fully managed and our Care Managers are available all day every day. With us, you are always in good hands.

Personal Care & Home Help

In order to allow you to live independently at home for as long as possible we provide a range of personal care and home help services.
This will typically be for a minimum of 1 hour per visit up to a maximum of 24 hours a day. They may cover activities such as:

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Grooming
  • Pet Care
  • Incontinence
  • Eating
  • Cleaning
  • Laundry
  • Prepare meals
  • Shopping
  • Gardening
  • Medication reminders

Night Care

Managing Care provides specialised Night Care. This is where an experienced carer who will remain alert through out the night supporting our clients and their families.
It is often very useful for families who are dealing with the bulk of the care needs during the waking hours, but need to have their own rest time.
This service can also be for a short duration while you recover from an illness or from a hospital stay. All our services at Managing Care are flexible and we can adapt easily to meet your individual needs.
We can arrange visits from as little as once a day to seven days a week, and can visit from every week to once every month.

Companionship Care Services

Older people often become isolated and lonely and lack interaction with other people, which can lead to depression and distress. Our companionship service has been specially designed to help you to stay active, feel part of society and connect with the people around you. This service offers a variety of engaging activities, below are a few examples:

  • Stimulate mental awareness
  • Reminisce about the past
  • Play games and cards
  • Provide reminders for appointments
  • Participate in crafts
  • Stimulation to participate in daily tasks
